Which country has the BEST Taxi Drivers?

I reckon the most helpful and law abiding drivers are in the UK, do you agree?

at this point i do not think there is such thing. the best taxi service i have used was in Ireland as in they didn't try and go the long way and it was reasonably cheap but all taxi services i have used which ever country i happen to be in have given me serious concerns. they all seem to think they are above the law (eg speed limits, parking, seat belts) I have actually been scared at one point as the driver was going so fast and even driving on the wrong side of the road in Spain. one in England had gaffa tape across the bottom of the door holding it on. someone i know does regular taxi patrols checking they are all correctly licensed and road worthy and it is worrying the amount that get taken off the road and how many carry offensive weapons in the cab. i would rather drive myself I'm afraid.

Vietnam LOL Vietnam taxi drivers are HORRILBLE DRIVERS!!!!! Vietnam taxis are crazy. They go on the wrong side of the road. Honk ALL the time. And mess around with the radio box. Although some in Danang city are really nice. Ones in hochiminh city (saigon) are money hungry people. Instead of taking u to ur destination, they usually circle around a few times then drop u off. I reccommend Canada.

London taxi drivers are the most knowledgable but a minority are grumpy and don't mention ken livingston! Singapore taxi drivers are very good but not very chatty. Can´t say Ontario cabbies made an impression either way. Dublin cabbies are the most friendly but car quality varies.

London Black Cabs without a doubt. They have to do 'The Knowledge' which means basically knowing how to get from any street in London to any other street in London. They keep to the speed limit, are courteous & funny. Before you talk about football though, check if they support West Ham, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal or Crystal Palace! They're really good.

I agree that the London cabbies are friendly and helpful.



But the best cab rides I ever had were in Dublin, the drivers were very friendly and so funny they made our visit an even more memorable one!

UK London - but only registered black cabs - due to the fact they have to do the knowledge and are tested to gain their licence - only other place they do anything like this is New York but they only travel over relatively short distances due to territory licencing

marmaris in turkey, they ensure you get wherever you want to go at the fastest, erratic speed ever and only let police cars overtake them, they politly beep at other cars to tell them they are coming through. it is the most adrelalin rushing experience i have ever had (and never want to repeat)
